About Us

Farmers Elevator Co. of  Lowder was started in 1905 by farmers in the Lowder area for the purpose of dealing in grain, agricultural products and supplies.  It is still owned by farmers and landowners from the local area and generates its profits from dealing primarily with those owners.

In September 2005, we opened our new unit train loading facility.  We can receive grain at the new elevator at a rate of 35,000 bushels per hour.  The new system can load 110 car unit trains in approximately 11 hours.  This new facility has allowed us to pay terminal prices for corn delivered to Lowder.

Farmers Elevator Co. Lowder engages in activities that provide service for the customers.  Some specific examples include the following:  grain storage and drying, transportation of bulk commodities, buying and selling of grains, custom fertilizer application, buying and selling of agricultural products, custom herbicide and insecticide application, buying and selling of seed.

Contact Greg Dolbeare, Jenny Gibbs, or Andrew Paluska for grain selling needs.

Contact Kenny Tate or Paul Lederbrand for seed sales, fertilizer, and ammonia needs.
